It’s been some time since my last update. I have a few things to talk about, and they’ll go into their separate posts.
College life is taking its toll on everyone’s mind. The lazy students are now suffering from late work the bookworms are spazzing out from midterms and preparation for finals two months from now. While the students are going through their academic issues, you have professors and other faculty doing their jobs –teaching, researching, and working in the office.
Now, I’m just a freshman going into his second semester of college, but are the office faculty people supposed to be nicer than the professors? I’ve noticed that some professors are annoyingly apathetic. Sure, I get the whole thing about students having to be mature in college to handle themselves, but it’s absurd when you ask one a simple question that requires a simple answer, only to get a smartass, arrogant comment.
Example: Where can I find a bathroom?
Answer: Read the signs.
What the hell? I have to take a piss and the professor’s being a smartass. If he or she didn’t know where the bathroom was, then the best response would be to say “I don’t know.” Sure, professor’s have a ton of knowledge in their respective field, but why not show a little bit of sympathy for another person? It’s not very mature. I hate douchebags.

Hahahaa, I know exactly what you mean. And I look up to you for how you handled your situation with the professor. It takes a strong man to hold his tongue to a smart ass because it would have been very easy to be less than respectful in your case. Just keep your head down and find the bathroom on your own. Even though nothing would have happened if you shot him back a sly remark it is best that you didn't. I just hope that I can have your strength when something like that happens to me.
I completely understand where you are coming from. My motto is that you must give respect to get respect. There is no reason for the professors to act like they are better than us when we are just trying to get an education so we can eventually get a good job. Even though this isn't a great thing, I often give smart comments to those who get smart with me. I guess this is something we will just have to deal with for the rest of our college career.
i completely know what you mean and yes most proffesors are like that but like you said now that we are in college we should be mature and i dont say that as in we should know how to "find the bathroom" our selvs but as in we need to know how to be the bigger person in those types of situations. I feel like we as college students now need to know how to give respect to everyone even people that dont give it back, so i disagree with you when you call them duchebags becuase thats not being mature. I know its hard and it sucks to deal with smart asses but you just have to, its part of life because they will always be around. So all i have to say is that if someone thinks they are superior to you then let them, if it makes them sleep better at night then good for them because you should know your better than them becuase your able to be the bigger man when things get out of hand.
