The internet introduces you to some interesting people. Some of these people are the kinds that you’ll immediately know to avoid if you ever met them in real life. Others are just pretty cool, so you meet up with them. You have your sites like myspace and facebook, then you have your other sites with message boards/forums, chats, and any other type of internet . . . thing . . . where people who have a common interest get together and talk. The internet has been a big part in today’s culture, with things from e-terrorism (which I will most definitely not talk about) to classmates screaming out fads in the middle of class (which I will talk about =))

Being the birthchild of laziness and the internet, I’m probably too inclined to talk about this, but what is on the internet needs to stay on the internet, especially if it’s something like a ‘fad’ or some shit like that.

Example: This is Rickroll. This was made big by a site that will not be named.

When I heard someone singing this just for the fact that it was Rickroll, I wanted to punt babies. The two cultures (internet culture and real life culture, both of which are divided into different kinds of cultures, need to stay separated.)
Xmen 3 used one of these internet fads and made it extremely unfunny and lame.

The original.

The stupid.

A combination of funny and stupid.

Professors.....

It’s been some time since my last update. I have a few things to talk about, and they’ll go into their separate posts.

College life is taking its toll on everyone’s mind. The lazy students are now suffering from late work the bookworms are spazzing out from midterms and preparation for finals two months from now. While the students are going through their academic issues, you have professors and other faculty doing their jobs –teaching, researching, and working in the office.

Now, I’m just a freshman going into his second semester of college, but are the office faculty people supposed to be nicer than the professors? I’ve noticed that some professors are annoyingly apathetic. Sure, I get the whole thing about students having to be mature in college to handle themselves, but it’s absurd when you ask one a simple question that requires a simple answer, only to get a smartass, arrogant comment.

Example: Where can I find a bathroom?

Answer: Read the signs.

What the hell? I have to take a piss and the professor’s being a smartass. If he or she didn’t know where the bathroom was, then the best response would be to say “I don’t know.” Sure, professor’s have a ton of knowledge in their respective field, but why not show a little bit of sympathy for another person? It’s not very mature. I hate douchebags.
